Buying Guidelines
Our Promise to You
We're pretty picky, and this is why: we will not send your items to a landfill. We will keep them in our inventory until they find a new home. It is our commitment to you and your memories, and we take it very seriously.
We buy small goods in limited quantities
Because we're making a commitment to you and your treasures, we only buy items that we know we can sell. We rarely buy entire large collections or large items such as furniture.
Please think of your family first
We encourage our sellers to have conversations with family before selling to us. We love the tradition of reserving one piece of a collection for each family member and to give these gifts during the downsizing process. Need help choosing, boxing and labeling? we can help with that. Just let us know when we make your appointment.
Clearing out a home? When to call us
If you're clearing out a loved one's belongings, call us after the family has selected their memories and before the estate sale company comes. We'll leave plenty of items behind that don't fit our needs. We do not do whole-house cleanouts.
You won't get rich -- but we won't, either
Our total purchases are usually less than $200.00, and we buy items at about half of their retail value. This is typical for wholesalers and gives us a margin to pay for everything from vendor fees to shopping bags. We value your time, your memories and your items. You won't see any of your items on reality TV being sold for a fortune. If a specialist is needed to value an item, we'll advise you to hold on to it.
